Bahrain education minister meets with UNESCO\'s Janis Karklins

Education Minister Dr. Majid bin Ali Al-Nuaimi met here with the Assistant Director-General for Communication and Information at the UNESCO Janis Karklins. Dr. Al-Nuaimi discussed with the UNESCO official ways of bolstering the existing cooperation with UNESCO\'s communication and information sector through the Bahrain-based Regional Centre for Information and Communication Technology (CICT), in the coming period. On his part, Janis Karklins said that communication and information sector at the UNESCO will provide CICT with ICT experts to support its activities, including training session and workshops to be held next year, and upgrade the competence of Bahraini cadres in this regard.
