Education award celebrates teachers

On the occasion of World Teachers’ Day, annually marked on October 5, the Association of Queen Rania Al Abdullah Award for Excellence in Education issued a statement highlighting teachers’ invaluable role within the community. World Teachers’ Day also marks the seventh anniversary of the association’s launch by Their Majesties King Abdullah and Queen Rania in 2005, the statement said. “It gives me great pride to extend our deepest gratitude to teachers for their dedication to educating our future leaders,” the statement quoted Lubna Touqan, the association’s executive director, as saying.
