Iran is producing a new type of artificial wood and oil paint from urban and agricultural waste materials, the country's researchers announced.
One of the researchers said that the plan has been designed based on Iran's unavoidable need to protect the environment.
The researcher went on to say that the method is economical, protects the environment, uses the material and energy of plastic waste, removes landfill costs and creates job opportunities.
The waste, which is turned into wood, is resistant against water. Its water absorption coefficient reaches 0.16 percent.
Oil paint is also produced by the plan as well.
