
A panel at the Third Saudi-U.S Business Opportunities Forum in Los Angeles, California, discussed Tuesday Saudi K-12 Education Reform. The panel, entitled “The Saudi K-12 Education Reform: Building the Foundation for a Knowledge-Based Economy,” was moderated by Bassma Adnan AlSeyofi, head of the Language Training Institutes Division of the Private & International Education Administration, which is a subdivision of the Ministry of Education. Dr. Ali Alhakami, general manager of the King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Public Education Development Project, Dr. Khaled al-Ghoneim, chairman and chief executive of Hadaf Holding Company and the Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF), Dr. Adel AlKeaid, deputy secretary general of the King Abdulaziz & His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity, Mimi Jett, vice president of Business Development at Avant Assessment, Carla Sanger, president and chief executive of LA’s Best, and Nada Saleh Abdulrahman Al Ismail, general supervisor for Primary Stages and general directorate of Educational Supervision for the Ministry of Education, participated on the panel.
