WISE board chairman:Education in Qatar a pillar of state\'s political strategy

Chairman of the board of directors of The World Innovation Summit for Education WISE , HE Dr Sheikh Abdullah Bin Ali Al Thani said on Tuesday that education in Qatar has become on of the pillars of the state\'\'s political strategy, thanks to the wise leadership of HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani. Opening The World Innovation Summit for Education WISE conference he said that Qatar\'\'s Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development was inspired by the vision of HH Sheikh Moza Bint Nasser in launching WISE in 2009 as a new forum that helps find a new vision for education in the future. WISE has since changed from an annual summit into a permanent initiative and has become a forum for open dialogue,he noted. Sheikh Abdullah Bin Ali reviewed the achievements of WISE since its establishment including its adoption of the WISE awards for leading educational projects and WISE assisting group in Haiti. WISE will issue a study on innovation in education, illustrated by examples from various parts of the world, he added.
