As many as 15 university students were killed and 257 permanently suspended in acts of violence that were triggered by Morsi loyalists last year, said the fact-finding committee investigating post-June Revolution incidents on Thursday.
Some 37 university professors were referred to disciplinary boards, Counselor Omar Marwan, head of the committee, said. The figures cover the universities of Cairo, Ain Shams and Al Azhar, he added.
In Cairo University alone, seven students were killed and 92 suspended, he said.
Within police forces, four policemen were killed while 118 others injured.
The figures are based on data released by bodies concerned with last year violence, Marwan said.
According to Egyptian Jail Authority, 1,697 people were convicted in connection with acts of violence last year while 3,714 were acquitted.
As many as 7,389 are now in custody over violence charges.
The committee said 52 churches were set on fire ad 12 others robbed last year.
On November 26, the committee released its report on the breakup of Rabaa and Nahada sit-in camps, saying 615 people, including eight policemen d 607 civilians, were killed in Rabaa incidents while 25, policemen and 23 civilians, were killed in Nahda.
