NASA\'s Jet Propulsion Laboratory says its popular app that puts visuals from NASA space missions at users\' fingertips has reached 1 million downloads. The Pasadena, Calif.-based facility said the popular mobile app continues to offer images including the Mars Curiosity Rover, dying stars, moons of Saturn and giant asteroids. Selected as a Staff Favorite in the Apple App Store shortly after its release in 2010, Space Images is now in Version 2 and features videos and 3-D image collections and more extensive sharing options, JPL reported Thursday. The app is also available in an Android version on Google Play. The images can also be viewed at www.jpl.nasa.gov/spaceimages.
