
British Ambassador to Egypt John Casson wrapped up on Thursday his visit to a natural gas facility of British Gas in Edko, 30 km away from Alexandria.
In statements following his meeting with Ashraf Sufi, the chairman of British Gas, Casson urged Egypt to open the door for new investments in the energy field.
He noted that the British Gas established the facility at an investment of 14 billion dollars in Egypt with the aim of fulfilling Egypt's needs of energy.
He added that the total investments funneled to Egypt by British Petroleum and British Gas hit 40 billion dollars.
