Winner of the Khalifa bin Zayed Award for Distinguished University Professor academician Dr. Hamdi Abdulaziz has affirmed Bahrain’s outstanding scientific level at the Arab and GCC level, given its very low illiteracy level and keenness to prepare generations of researchers and academicians.
In an interview with "Al-Watan" newspaper, published today, he called for the need to provide Bahrainis who hold higher education degrees with opportunities to develop themselves, noting that a great number of Bahraini academicians have a great desire to complete their higher studies in order to obtain MAs and PhDs.
He asserted that there is a remarkable educational renaissance in GCC countries because of their big spending on education. He called for the need to set up educational institutions across the Arab World that prepare specialised researchers.
He stressed the importance of upgrading the level of teachers in Arab countries in order to prepare a generation of creative and gifted students.
