The National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company (NIOPDC) has stockpiled huge amounts of gasoil for supply during the new year holidays, when road trips will hike significantly across the country, the company's president said. Speaking to Shana, managing director of NIOPDC Mostafa Kashkouli said the company has stockpiled 1.6 billion liters of gasoline for distribution over the Iran’s new year holidays, Norouz, starting March 21. Kashkouli estimated daily gasoline consumption to rise to 100 million liters during the new year trips which span for nearly 15 days. According to the official, the company’s inspectors have checked the bulk of the gas stations across the country to make sure that they will be well equipped for rendering services to motorists. The inspectors will also visit the remaining gas stations in order to make sure that all the stations will be operational during the new year, NIOPDC’s chief said, adding in order to facilitate fueling, 31 mobile gas stations will be setup in roads with high traffic.
