Oil minister meets OMV Yemen managing director

The Minister of Oil and Minerals Mr. Khaled M. Bahaha, has met in his office the managing director of OMV- Yemen (E&P GmbH) Mr. Wolfgang Stock.During the meeting, Minister Bahah discussed the company’s activities of the company in Yemen.OMV first oil production begins by December 2006 from Shabaw governorate block S2 AL-Uqla. The daily average of the company production reaches over 18.000 barrels of oil per day.Bahah was happy to understand the company's current working progress in implementing the oil pipelines in the production sector and link it with the Safer pipeline that carries oil to Ras Isa'a port.Above to the existing producing block, its continuing activities are in three petroleum exploration blocks in Hadramout, Mahrah,and Shabwa provinces.The minister affirmed that the ministry will do its best to support the company's activities to overcome any future challenges may hinder its tasks in the country.
