Gargash receives OIC Secretary-General

Dr. Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, today received Dr. Yusuf bin Ahmed al-Othaimeen, Secretary-General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, OIC.
Dr. Anwar Gargash congratulated Dr. al-Othaimeen for assuming his new post as the Secretary-General of the organisation, and wished him every success in his new assignment.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the important role played by the OIC, which includes 57 Islamic states. Dr. Gargash highlighted the need to strengthen the organisation's role as a voice representing the Muslim world.
The new OIC Secretary-General highlighted the organisation's role in the promotion of intra-trade and the economy of OIC member states, and to work on the core issues of the organisation.
