Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman holds talks with Chinese State Councilor Yang Jiechi in Beijing
Beijing - Arab Today

Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, second deputy premier and minister of defense, met here on Tuesday Deputy Chairman of Chinese Investment Authority “Capital” Jo Yemin and a number of officials of the authority.

During the meeting, the investment opportunities in the two countries and fields of partnership were reviewed, according to SPA.
The deputy crown prince also met officials of Chinese banks, including Bank of China, Bank of China for Telecommunications and Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank.
Chinese newspapers highlighted Prince Mohammed’s visit and the existing strategic partnerships between the two countries.
They also pointed out that Saudi Arabia and China have identical viewpoints regarding regional and international issues.
The deputy crown prince arrived in the Chinese capital on Monday on the second leg of his three-nation Asia tour.
Prince Mohammed’s official visit is upon the directive of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and in response to the invitation of the Chinese government.
Prince Mohammed, who is also chief of the Kingdom’s Council of Economic and Development Affairs, flew to Beijing from Islamabad, where he met with Pakistani Premier Nawaz Sharif on Sunday to discuss economic cooperation within the framework of the Saudi Vision 2030.
A royal court statement has said that Prince Mohammed will be in China on Aug. 29-31 and in Japan for four days. From Japan, he will return to China to chair the Kingdom’s delegation to the Sept. 4-5 summit of G20 leaders in the eastern Chinese city of Hangzhou.
On the expanding energy cooperation between the Kingdom and Asia, a report said that Saudi Arabia has traditionally accounted for most of the crude imports by Asia, the world’s biggest oil-consuming region.
