Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi on Wednesday met Swedish Foreign Minister Margot Wallstrom, currently on a visit to Tunisia.
The meeting reviewed Tunisian-Swedish cooperation ties and means of boosting them on all fronts. On Tuesday, Wallstrom re-opened the Swedish embassy in Tunis, which has been closed for 14 years, saying that it "will contribute to foster the co-operation and partnership relations between the two countries," Tunisian state news agency TAP reported.
The Swedish minister affirmed her country's willingness to strengthen bilateral relations and keep on supporting the democratic experience in Tunisia.
