Oman's Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs Yousef bin Alawi bin Abdullah met on Wednesday with Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed, the United Nations special envoy for Yemen, The U.N. envoy stressed the importance of the Omani role in reaching a settlement for the crisis in Yemen, adding that the U.N. highly values the Omani efforts for peace, Omani's official news agency ONA reported.
The U.N. envoy had arrived yesterday in Oman as part of U.N. efforts to reach a peaceful settlement in Yemen.
