Honda has identified the problem with 2003-04 My Honda MR-V and Odyssey vehicles
Dubai - Arabstoday

Honda has identified the problem with 2003-04 My Honda MR-V and Odyssey vehicles Japanese automaker Honda has recalled 812 cars in the UAE as a part of its service campaign to ensure protection of its customers. Al Futtaim Honda has announced that the campaign is for 2003-04 My Honda MR-V and Odyssey vehicles.
According to Emirates 24/7, the campaign is being carried out in co-ordination with the Ministry of Economy's Department of Consumer Protection. Honda will carry out an inspection on the 812 vehicles and may fix the problem to put customers at ease.
Honda has confirmed that the models have fault whereby if the customer regularly tries to remove the key before shutting the vehicle into park mode, the lever may wear excessively allowing the key to be removed even when the vehicle is not in park mode.
If the ignition key is removed in this mode and the parking brake is not set, the vehicle could roll away.
Earlier today, Honda said it would recall 250,000 vehicles worldwide to repair a defect that can interfere with braking.
