1952 Ferrari 212 Inter
Monaco - Arab Today

The Monte Carlo Sun Auctions, taking place on Saturday, July 4, 2015, will present 47 amazing vehicles, including some supercars. For those without the pockets deep enough to procure one of these beauties off the block, there will be three days of exhibition open to the general public.

One of the stars of this auction is a 1952 Ferrari 212 Inter, valued between 1 and 1.5 million euros. Presented for the first time at the Turin Auto Show in 1951, the 212 Inter was conceived as a sportier sibling of the 212 Export. Only 81 of these cars were ever produced, and the model up for auction in Monaco is one of the last ones built, a 2+2 fine-tuned by Pininfarina. Another car that also immediately catches the eye is the 1965 Porsche 911 SWB 2 L, painted by the German artist Peter Klasen. This one-of-a-kind model is valued between 360,000 and 500,000 euros.

Also among the most sought after models are a 1963 Citröen DS 19 Serie M Cabriolet (valued between 150,000 and 170,000 euros), a 1966 Maserati Mistral Coupé (220,000 to 250,000 euros), a 1989 Porsche 911 3.2L Speedster "Turbo Look" (170,000 to 200,000 euros), a 2002 Lambourghini Murcielago LP 580 (145,000 to 160,000), a 2008 Rolls Royce Phantom Coupé (190,000 to 220,000) and a 2011 McLaren MP4 12C (150,000 to 170,000). Several Ferraris will also be on exhibit before being auctioned off, most of them valued between 100,000 and 200,000 euros, such as a 2004 360 Modena Challenge Stradale, a 1992 512 TR, a 1987 328 GTB and two Testarossas, on from 1987 and the other from 1989.

Finally, there will be some novelty at the auction in the form of a Mini Back Flip Projet Gravi-T by Guerlain Chicherit, valued between 100,000 and 150,000 euros. The interesting backstory involves it being the first model to ever perform a full backflip. Built on a Mini Countryman base, it has a 265hp V6, a hand built tube framed chassis and a reinforced cockpit.

The Chapiteau de Fontvieille will house all of these cars beginning on July 2. A concours d'élégance will take place that day as well, with the auction itself taking place two days later on July 4, beginning at 6pm.

The Monte Carlo Sun Auctions will take place from July 2-4 at the Chapiteau de Fontvieille in Monaco. For more information, visit montecarlosunauctions.com.
