An insight into what the New Year will bring based on horoscopes
Beirut - Georges Chahine

An insight into what the New Year will bring based on horoscopes On the evening of the New Year, the Lebanese astronomer, Samir Tanab offered a comprehensive presentation of his forecasts for the Lebanese politicians on several levels. His expectations included the President and Speaker of the House and the Prime Minister and politicians including leaders of political parties. Tanab said:
President Michel Sleiman - Scorpio
Suleiman takes bold decisions supported by the international community, but he has been disputed by domestic entities, mainly Hezbollah, because of his stance towards the arms coming from Syria and Iran and because of the movement regional stances and its interference in Lebanese security affairs.
Although 2013 will be difficult for him, it will be full of courage and heroism positions. There are no security or healthy risks. He is preparing one of his relatives for the parliamentary elections in the constituency of Jbeil. His relationship with Najib Mikati will remain good as he considers him the most appropriate figure for this stage. His relations with the Arabs and Saudi Arabia will develop.
Speaker Nabih Berri - Aquarius
Apparently the year 2013 will witness a political, security and healthy setbacks for Berri. He may not return as the speaker of the new parliament. He will be attacked in the first half of the year. Then, he might be hospitalised due a high blood pressure which may affect the heart or cause a clot and swelling in the legs. A sort of misunderstanding will erupt with Michel Aoun, while he may get some disagreement over sharing the parliamentary seats with Hezbollah.
After the elections, he will spend his time for developing the Amal movement and the renewing its cadres. He aims to be the first Shiite in Lebanon away from the dominance of Iran.
President Najib Mikati - Sagittarius
Mikati may not return to preside over the government in the new parliament and will threaten several times to resign to put pressure on Hezbollah and Michel Aoun.
He will face strong disturbances and demonstrations because of the high cost of living and the weak purchasing power of the Lebanese pound. He will run for the parliamentary elections in Tripoli, but he may lose it. It will be an ordinary year for him, no health risks. He will be threatened by some Salafists group and the Free Syrian Army, in the north of Lebanon.
Cardinal Patriarch Beshara Al-Rai - Pisces
The year 2013 will wetness a lot of activities for Patriarch Beshara Al-Rai especially his investment in the Pope\'s visit to Lebanon and the issuance of the Apostolic Exhortation in order to try to unite all the Christians in society and politics.
He will develop his personal relations with Muslim clerics in order to support the dialogue between the different communities, however, he will grieve over a very important Christian cleric.
He will enjoy a good health, a lot of movement and production. He will visit all regions of Lebanon to draw the people close to the Maronite Church. He is planning for conducting projects to help youth find jobs and houses to encourage them to stay at home. He will approach the expatriates to encourage them to return and invest in their own country.
Prime Minister Saad Hariri - Aries
The year of 2013 is a politically appropriate year for Saad Hariri. He might return to Lebanon before the elections and he will be able to reunite with March 14. He will reconcile with Walid Jumblatt and convinces him with an electoral alliance within the Cedar Revolution.
No real dangers will threaten him and he will enjoy a good health. He will travel to Saudi Arabia, Qatar and some Gulf states to secure the financing of the electoral process, and then he will be back with a number of politicians and media figures forcibly exiled outside Lebanon.
He will be the front-runner for the presidency of the new Lebanese government and will be able to find some solutions to the problems of electricity, unemployment, and proved security for Arab tourists to attract them once again to Lebanon.
MP Michel Aoun - Aquarius
2013 will be characterised by diplomacy and political savvy. Although his stances will change according to the circumstances, he will stick to the constants of understanding with Hezbollah, with some modifications imposed by the regional necessities.
Aoun will take the side of the army when a potential collision occurs between the resistance and the army in the first half of the year and he will support President Michel Sleiman regarding the importance of putting Hezbollah armament under the command of the Lebanese army.
He may alter his alliances in some areas but he could lose four or five MPs from the current parliamentary stake.
Unfortunately, he may be hospitalised because of a severe health setback and he will disagree with Nabih Berri on domestic and electoral politics.
Amin Gemayel - Aquarius
Gemayel will develop an independent path and methods for himself and his Phalange Party and he will keep a distance away of March 14 regarding its general stances and he might ally with parties and leaders was previously at odds with him. But he remains at odds with the principles of Hezbollah and Islamic Jihad outside the country and Guardianship of the Islamic Jurists.
He enjoys a good health except some pains in the back and joints; he will live long and offer the federal project as a solution to Lebanon\'s problems.
Dr Samir Geagea - Scorpio
The year 2013 is an important year for him on the political and personal levels especially at the level of the elections as his parliamentary bloc will gain four or five additional seats.
His influence is increasing within the March 14 as well as the Lebanese politics, and he will be able to gain new regional and international allies as a result of his effective contacts.
No actual risks affecting him as he used to coexist with danger and starts boldly and without fear. Generally, he will enjoy a good health except some pains in the stomach and his intestine. He will be subjected to a second assassination attempt but he won’t be harmed.
MP Suleiman Franjieh - Libra
Franjieh works silently at the political, development and electoral levels. His son, Tony will run in the election and win a seat. He will try to expand his interests to the national level rather than being limited on the north and Bzgrta.
Unfortunately, his dreams of running for the presidency will be destroyed due to the current situation. His financial situation will improve, although he will suffer a political weakness for a while due to the decline of the power and effectiveness of the Syrian regime and its impact on political life in Lebanon. He will try to establish links with the Arab countries but he will fail.
