Abbas hopes Kerry brings something new

President Mahmoud Abbas Wednesday expressed hope that U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry brings something new and important on his next visit to the region. During an interview with al-Jazeera TV, Abbas said that the next meeting with Kerry would be the seventh, “We hope he brings with him something important because the success of the peace process is important for us.” “We confirmed and confirm our readiness to resume negotiations, and this is not the first time we do. We believe that the peaceful solution in the region, especially between us and the Israeli side is through negotiations,” said Abbas.
