Azhar Imam Ahmed el-Tayyeb invited to visit Ethiopia

A delegation of Ethiopian popular diplomacy, currently visiting Egypt, extended an invitation to Grand Imam of Al Azhar Ahmed el-Tayyeb to visit Ethiopia.
This came during a meeting here on Wednesday.
During the meeting, Tayyeb discussed with the delegation, led by Ethiopian Parliament Speaker Abadula Gemeda, the latest developments in Egypt and the region and Al Azhar's efforts to spread the moderate teachings of Islam and ways to enhance relations between Egypt and Ethiopia.
The Ethiopian delegation comprises representatives of the Ethiopian community, political parties, youth and women organizations, Muslim and Christian clergymen, university professors and media men.
