Egypt's PM to open international Quran competition Saturday

Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab and Awqaf Minister Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa will inaugurate on Saturday the 29th International Quran Recitation Competition, organized by the Awqaf Ministry.
About 100 contestants from 70 states in addition to juries from Bahrain, the UAE, Morocco, Kuwait, , Sudan, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Senegal and Egypt, according to the Awqaf minister.
The value of the combined prizes of the four-category competition is over one million pounds.
