Isa Voluntary Work Award to hold workshop

The High Organising Committee of the seventh edition of the HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa’s Award for Voluntary Work has announced that it will hold a dialogue workshop for the participants in the Best Bahraini Voluntary Work Project Award at the headquarters of the Good Word Society in Muharraq on Tuesday.

The Best Bahraini Voluntary Work Project Award Committee Chairman, Yaqoob Bu Hazza, said that the workshop is in line with the directives of HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa to constantly develop the award mechanisms.

The workshop is the first of its kind since the launch of the award, and aims to inform the participants about the criteria to be met in the participating projects, he said, adding that the beneficiaries will be trained on the skills to present their projects before the jury.

The award aims to encourage voluntary work at the level of individuals and associations in Bahrain, and promote creative ideas in this regard, he also said.

He asserted that the workshop will be attended by the members of the jury, including Dr. Faleh Al-Ruwaili, Dr. Hala Sulaibeekh and Ahmed Ahmadi, so that the participants will be familiar with them.
Yaqoob Bu Hazza indicated that his committee had already started receiving projects, which, he said, reflects the interest of the Bahraini society in the award and in voluntary work.

Jury member, Dr. Hala Sulaibeekh, said that registration in the Best Voluntary Work Project Award will be closed on July 31, noting that the workshop will provide an opportunity for Bahraini youth to develop their skills, showcase their creativity and exchange ideas and expertise.

The HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa Award for Voluntary Work is granted to the best three voluntary work projects in Bahrain, with the first winning US$ 4000, the second US$ 3000 and the third US$ 2000.

The winners will be honoured on the sidelines of the seventh edition of the HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa’s Award for Voluntary Work, organised by the Good Word Society in cooperation with the Arab Federation for Voluntary Work, between September 12 and 14, marking the Arab Voluntary Work Day 2017.
