Khalid bin Hamad Youth Theater Award committee holds meeting

The Executive Committee of the Khalid bin Hamad Youth Theater Award Festival for National Clubs, Youth Centers and People with Disabilities in its third edition, held a preparatory meeting.

The meeting came within the Committee’s framework for early preparation of the festival, which continues for the third year in a row amid great success, held under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Athletics Association, Honourary President of the Bahrain Disabled Sports Federation.

The festival will be held next October at the Muharraq Model Youth Centre, with large and active youth participation from various leaders and representatives of national clubs, youth centers and people with disabilities.

The meeting was attended by: Omar Abdulaziz Bukamal and Nawar Abdullah Al Mutawa, Members of the Higher Organizing Committee, Jamal Al Ghailan, Director of the Festival, Mohammad Mashallah, Chairman of the Marketing Committee, Hazem Al Sheikh, Chairman of the Media Committee, Abdullah Al Mutawa, Chairman of the Finance Committee, Najim Yousif, Chairman of the Coordination and Follow-up Commitee, Shaima Abdullah, Chairman of the Public Relations and Promotion Commitee and Fatima Khalid, Chairman of the Design and Publications Committee.

The committee reviewed a number of new issues related to the organizational aspects of the festival, and decided to set next Tuesday, May 23, as the date for the technical meeting of the festival to be held at 6.30pm, in the presence of representatives of national clubs, youth centers and people with disabilities.

The meeting will be held in the presence of the festival’s evaluation and arbitration committee and will be dedicated to reviewing all the organizational matters related to the establishment of the festival, which will be accompanied by theatrical performances. Two Gulf reviewers will be hosted for the presentations and intellectual workshop will be held by Mr. Yousef Al Hamdan at Abdul Rahman Kanoo Centre and Isa Cultural Centre.

The meeting will also be an opportunity to answer various questions from participants representing clubs, centers or the category of people with disabilities.
