Sultan al-Qasimi opens 13th Sharjah Heritage Days

His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah attended this evening, in presence of H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, opening of the 13th Sharjah festival Days.
The opening ceremony saw traditional shows about UAE's diverse cultures, as well as folklore dances. Also taking part were folklore groups from Kuwait, Morocco, Algeria and Korea.
In attendance at the opening ceremony were Sheikhs, senior officials, guests and diplomats.
Following the opening, Sheikh Sultan toured the heritage area and was briefed about the festival's programmes and activities.
The month-long Sharjah Heritage Days festival is held under the slogan "Heritage The Base Of Our Originality". Its activities will include lectures, symposiums and competitions, with the participation of several Arab, Islamic and international government organisations.
