
Sri Mulyani Indrawati, the World Bank Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer, will lead the bank group's delegation to Egypt Economic Development Conference (EEDC) which will be held in Sharm el Sheikh on Friday.
Indrawati is scheduled to give a speech on Saturday, in which she will stress the importance of the conference as an opportunity for the international community to get acquainted with Egypt's economic vision.
Indrawati told MENA that the bank group's participation in the conference comes as part of supporting Egyptian efforts aiming at boosting growth and luring investors to Egypt.
She added that her visit to Egypt will allow the delegation to hold talks with the Egyptian officials at this critical stage the country is going through.
After the conclusion of the three-day conference, the bank delegation will hold official meetings in Cairo and will visit a number of projects funded by the bank in Egypt.
