Kuwaiti ambassador returns in Baghdad

Kuwait\'s Ambassador in Iraq Ali al-Moumen returned to Baghdad to take up his job after seven month absence, citing “administration” reasons. “Our staying away from Baghdad has nothing to do with political, economic or social ties between Baghdad and Kuwait. My return has been made in purely administration ground, al-Moumen told reporters after his return to Baghdad. He added that “Iraqi Foreign Ministry offered excellent facilities and had much assisted the Kuwaiti embassy to accomplish its mission successfully” asserting that “the embassy carried out its duties in Baghdad as usual through the meetings we had with many of Iraqi leaders” The Kuwaiti Ambassador left Baghdad on July 12, 2011, after the embassy located in the heavy fortified Green Zone compound in the Iraqi capital, came under insurgent rocket attack.
