The UAE Embassy in Madrid is overseeing the distribution of food aid to underprivileged Muslims in Spain during Ramadan as part of an annual tradition.
As part of the initiative, funded by the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation and the Al Maktoum Foundation, iftar banquets are hosted at mosques and copies of the Holy Quran, from the General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments, are distributed at religious centres.
Beneficiaries, largely Muslim low-income families, thanked the Emirati government and people and prayed to Allah Almighty to keep the security and progress of the UAE.
