Two southern Israeli municipalities cancelled school on Sunday after Palestinians in the Gaza Strip fired three Grad rockets into the areas, local media reported, adding that seven people were injured in the attacks. One of the rockets slammed into a home in the town of Netivot, about 10 km east of the Palestinian coastal enclave, causing heavy damage to the structure but no injuries to the family, according to photos released by the army. Seven people in Netivot and Beersheba, some 40 km distant, were injured running for shelter, Army radio said. Medics treated some people shocked by the rocket attacks. \"I ran towards the bathroom, which is relatively sheltered,\" Netivot resident Pini Zohar, whose home was hit, told the Ynet news site. \"There was an explosion; the entire house was destroyed. \" \"I came out from the wreckage, and the entire house collapsed on me,\" he said. Meanwhile, authorities in Beersheba and coastal Ashdod cancelled school out of concern that the rocket salvos might continue and there are not sufficient protected structures.
