Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Minister, Essam bin Abdulla Khalaf, has received the outgoing Turkish Ambassador to Bahrain, Hatun Demirer.

The minister reviewed with the ambassador areas of cooperation between the two countries, in light of the steady progress of bilateral relations, expressing the Works Ministry’s interest in availing of Turkish companies in various fields, especially engineering and construction.

Khalaf lauded the efforts exerted by Ambassador Demirer to facilitate communication with a number of Turkish companies in order to include them in the Works Ministry’s lists, expressing hope that cooperation with such companies will continue in the future government projects.

The ambassador said that her country is looking forward to enhancing coordination with Bahrain in various fields thanks to Turkish companies’ “rich experience and world reputation” in various fields.

She expressed delight at progress of Bahraini-Turkish relations and cooperation, praising the Works Ministry’s efforts to boost infrastructure in the kingdom.

The envoy also praised the progress boom witnessed by Bahrain in various fields.
