
Egypt's Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry received on Monday a phone call from his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov.
During the phone conversation, the two sides tackled the latest developments in Syria along with the ongoing efforts to reach a ceasefire agreement and facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Syrian citizens in Aleppo.
The two ministers also tackled the Egyptian-New Zealandian-Spanish draft resolution on Syria, said Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid.
Shoukry, meanwhile, reviewed efforts exerted by the Egyptian envoy at the UN to get viewpoints closer among UNSC members on the draft resolution on Syria.
They also tackled the situation in Libya and efforts to help the Libyan parties to reach consensus to implement Skheirat agreement.
