UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon asserted on Sunday that comprehensive dialogue is the best way to solve crises. Unlike, military option that could only help worsen situation on the ground.
Also, he hailed the Algerian efforts to encourage dialogue to settle crises.
He made the remarks during a press conference with Algerian Foreign Minister Ramtane Lamamra.
The military solution could be necessary in some cases, especially when it comes to combating terrorism.
Furthermore, the UN chief appreciated the Algerian role to resolve the Libyan crisis by hosting the UN-brokered talks among Libyan rival factions.
Ban Ki-moon and Lamamra touched on the deteriorating situation in Libya, urging all warring parties to brush aside their discord and agree on forming a national unity government as soon as possible.
The humanitarian situation will aggravate and Daesh terror attacks will increase in Libya unless a political progress is realized, Ban-Ki moon warned.
