Washington State Attorney General Bob Ferguson publicly declared his move to file a federal lawsuit against President Donald Trump on Monday.

The lawsuit challenges Trump’s executive order on the temporary ban of refugees and nationals from seven predominantly Muslim countries.

According to the Chicago Tribune, Ferguson filed the complaint, seeing Trump’s order to be “unconstitutional.” The state also asked for a “temporary restraining order against enforcement of the order.”

On numerous occasions, Trump has defended his actions in suspending immigration and barring nationals of the seven banned countries from visiting the U.S. He has claimed to be protecting the nation against terrorism and extremism.

Washington State’s lawsuit has huge backing from Seattle-based Amazon.com and Bellevue-based Expedia, in solidarity with the employees of their businesses, who are directly affected by the ban.

Ayesha Blackwell-Hawkins, a manager of support services for Amazon commented that the company has been made aware of 49 current employees who were born in the countries mentioned in the executive order that work legally in the U.S. with visas. The company has advised these employees to avoid traveling outside of the U.S. during the 90-day ban period.

Additionally, The Independent reported that Dominic Carr, a spokesman from Microsoft in Redmond, Washington has said that the company supported the state’s lawsuit and would testify if asked.

The complaint against Trump claims that Trump’s actions are harming “thousands of state residents, damaging the state economy, hurting Washington-based companies and undermining Washington’s sovereign interest in remaining a welcoming place for immigrants and refugees.”

Ferguson also said that “at the end of the day, either you’re abiding by the Constitution or you are not. And in our view, the president is not adhering to the Constitution when it comes to this executive action.”

The order, signed last Friday, has infuriated many across the U.S. and has led to large protests especially in Washington D.C.
