The massive Israeli search campaign, following the alleged kidnapping of three settlers, continues for the tenth consecutive day. The Israeli Occupation Forces arrested around 38 Palestinians this morning from several locations in the West Bank, according to the Prisoner Club Association.
The Israeli army stormed the city of Hebron and arrested 16 Palestinians, including an ex-detainee. They also stormed the nearby village of Idhna, where they raided a home and handed its residents orders to go for interrogation to the Israeli intelligence.
Additionally, the Israeli army raided local stores and commercial structures, and seized surveillance cameras, in a nearby village where they also searched the village’s cemetery. Soldiers further broke into the village of Halhul, conducting large-scale searches, and the village of Tarqumia, where they raided houses belonging to local residents.
Moreover, they raided two houses in Hebron and stormed the Polytechnic University of Palestine in the city, where they seized PCs. They also raided local stores in the city and seized a number of PCs and surveillance cameras.
In Bethlehem, 19 Palestinians were reportedly arrested by the Israeli Occupation Forces. We do not have more information at the moment regarding these arrests.
In the Jenin Governorate, the IOF stormed the villages of Al-Yamun and Qabatiya, where they arrested three people after raiding and searching their homes and sabotaging their furniture. The troops raided many homes in al-Yamoun and in the nearby village of Zububa, searching them and wrecking their furniture, yet no arrests were reported.
They also stormed the nearby towns of Silat al-Harithiya, Zububa and Ya’bad. During the raids, soldiers fired tear gas canisters and stun grenades, which caused several cases of suffocation. The village of Jalqamous, southeast of Jenin, was also raided and the Israeli army raided several homes, investigating their residents, as well as a private-owned animal barn in the village.
