
representatives of Ansarullah and the Salafis signed here a ceasefire agreement to end hostilities in Dammaj area.The ceasefire took effect late on Friday."We, the Ansarullah and Salafis in Saada province are glad to announce the comprehensive ceasefire in Dammaj starting at 09:00 p.m. Friday January 10, 2014," the two sides said in a joint announcement.The two sides also agreed to allow the deployment of observers on the field starting Saturday.The ceasefire was reached "in response to the call of peace made by His excellency the president of the republic, and in line with results of mediation by the presidential and parliamentary commissions," the agreement stipulated.
