Anti-extremist Ramadan advert goes viral
"I will tell God everything, that you've filled the cemeteries with our children and emptied our school desks...," says a child.
Abu Dhabi - Emirates Voice
A video advertisement that depicts a would-be suicide bomber confronted by the faithful has gone viral two days into the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan.
"Worship your God with love, not terror" is the main message of the three-minute advert posted Friday online by Kuwaiti telecommunications giant Zain, which operates across the Middle East.
"I will tell God everything," says the voiceover of a child at the beginning of the ad as a man is seen preparing a bomb.
"That you've filled the cemeteries with our children and emptied our school desks..."
The video featuring Emirati pop star Hussain Al Jassmi has registered nearly two million views on Zain's YouTube page and more than 4,000 shares on Facebook.
It features images from bombings across the region claimed by Al Qaeda or Daesh.
But it ends on a positive note with footage of a happy wedding and cheerful children dressed in white.
"We will encounter their hatred with songs of love," concludes a caption superimposed on a black background.

Paris - Emiratesvoice
Two months after legendary designer Azzedine Alaia's sudden death plunged the fashion world into mourning, an exhibition in homage to the "King of Cling" opens Monday in his studios in Paris. The Tunisian-born designer, renowned for the way his clothes hugged the body, died suddenly in November aged 82, reportedly of heart failure after falling down the stairs at his home. The diminutive maverick, who ignored fashion week convention by showing when and where he wanted, in July produced his first couture collection in six years to rapturous reviews. Now some of his most iconic dresses are going on display in the glass-roofed gallery next to his studio and home in the Marais district where he used to show his creations. It includes the dress worn by supermodel Naomi Campbell, his longtime friend and muse, when she led
