Arab League (AL) Secretary General Nabil el Araby has underlined the importance of continuing the reform and development of the AL in order to cope with the up-to-date changes and to enable Arab nations to deal with the latest national challenges and dangers, topped by the Israeli crimes that undermine the international system.
Speaking at the party held by the Joint Arab Action Organizations on the occasion of the end of his tenure, Araby asserted the importance of the AL emergency meeting, to be held in Cairo Thursday at the level of permanent representatives.
The meeting is scheduled to adopt a unified Arab stance with regard to the statements made by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over the Golan Heights.
Earlier, Netanyahu had vowed the Golan Heights would forever stay in Israel's hands.
