The Arab League launched on Sunday a youths campaign aiming at fighting violence, extremism and terrorism with the participation of Arab League Secretary General Nabil el Araby and Arab youths and sports ministers.
Dubbed, "No to Violence...No to Extremism..No to Terrorism", the campaign aims at utilizing youths' capabilities in fighting terrorism and achieving development in Arab societies.
Araby said the campaign aims at conveying a message that youths are peace-loving and they are eager to fight violence, extremism and terrorism.
It is also meant to promote awareness among youths of the importance of standing against extremist groups, he added.
He also called for attaching importance to sports in Arab countries, especially in schools, and laying down plans to promote sports among children and youths.
The campaign comes upon an initiative by the Council of Arab Sports and Youths to combat extremism and violence.
