His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah approved two decrees on Monday, one that accepted resignations of some ministers and the other reshuffling the government. His Highness the Amir, speaking after the new cabinet were sworn, urged the ministers to further improve the government's performance in order to address enormous challenges, and to achieve more cooperation with the National Assembly in order to honor aspirations of the citizens, and put practical solutions for the problems. His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah underscored that his ministers would exert efforts to achieve the objectives set out by His Highness the Amir's statement. His Highness Sheikh Jaber said the government was keen on cooperating with the parliament members to achieve comprehensive reform. Following is a cabinet line-up: His Highness the Prime Minister: Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah. First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister: Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah. Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister: Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah. Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister: Lt. Gen. (rtd.) Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce and Industry: Abdulmohsen Al-Madaj. Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs: Sheikh Salman Sabah Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah. Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs: Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah. Minister of Oil and Minister of State for National Assembly Affairs Ali Saleh Al-Omair. Minister of Finance: Anas Khaled Al-Saleh. Minister of State for Municipal Affairs and Minister of Communications: Essa Ahmad Al-Kandari. Minister of Public Works and Minister of Electricity and Water: Abdulaziz Abdulateef Al-Ibrahim. Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education: Ahmad Abdulmohsen Al-Mulaifi. Minister of Health: Dr. Ali Saad Al-Obaidi. Minister of Justice and Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs: Nayef Mohammad Al-Ajmi. Minister of Social Affairs and Labor and Minister of State for Planning and Development: Hind Sabeeh Al-Sabeeh. Minister of State for Housing Affairs: Yasser Hassan Abul.
