The spokesman for the Palestinian National Liberation Movement "Fatah" said that Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's call for solving the Palestinian issue demonstrated Egypt's key role in the region and the world.
All parties welcome Egypt's vision to resolve the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and realize peace in the Middle East region, Fayez Abu Aita said in statements to MENA on Friday.
He also voiced his appreciation of Sisi's call to settle the Palestinian issue and achieve an inter-Palestinian reconciliation.
The Palestinian issue is still Egypt's top priority and a central issue for the Egyptian leadership, he added.
He also lauded Sisi's messages to Israel and the international community, saying "his message to Israel was clear..no peace without establishing an independent Palestinian State".
No peace between Israel and Arab countries without achieving the Palestinian people's demands of having freedom and independence, Abu Aita said.
Peace leads to security and stability that serve all parties, he made it clear.
Sisi's second message to the international community is the whole world could not enjoy peace and stability without finding a just and lasting settlement to the Palestinian issue," he added.
As for Sisi's call for Palestinians to unite and achieve reconciliation, Abu Aita said the Palestinian leadership, under President Mahmoud Abbas, and Fatah movement will spare no effort to achieve Palestinian reconciliation.
