
Minister of Social Solidarity and Board Chairman of the Anti-Addiction Fund Ghada Wali said coordination with the Ministry of Education is underway to draw up a plan for preventive intervention to reach out to the largest number of school students during this school year.
Following a meeting of the technical committee for developing preventive programs at schools, held Saturday night, the minister said they discussed mechanisms of intervention among school students to protect them against addition through offering training programs in schools with the help of social workers who will be trained for that purpose.
The program, "Choose Your Life", will be applied in all schools across the country, she said, adding that the program will communicate with parents to raise awareness on their vital role in early detection.
