
The US-led coalition carried out 17 airstrikes against Daesh terrorists in Syria and Iraq targeting the group’s oil and gas infrastructure, tactical units and mortar fire positions, the Combined Joint Task Force-Operation Inherent Resolve (CJTF-OIR) said in a press release on Wednesday, according to Sputnik News.
In Syria, the coalition launched six airstrikes on Tuesday in and around three Syrian cities. Near Deir Ez-Zor, the coalition struck a Daesh modular refinery and a Daesh natural gas processing plant, two cranes close to Abu Kamal and a tactical unit and several fighting positions near Mara.
Coalition forces in Iraq conducted 11 airstrikes in and around five Iraqi cities including Mosul and Ramadi. The coalition targeted vehicles, vehicle-borne improvised explosive device (VBIEDs), fighting positions, assembly areas and tactical units.
