Bodies of 10 Pakistani security personnel, who had been kidnapped by suspected Taliban militants, were found in a tribal region on Monday, security sources said. The security personnel had been kidnapped after the militants attacked a check post in Upper Orakzai northwestern tribal region. According to government sources, the soldiers’ bodies were dumped in Dabori after they were kidnapped from Kalaya area in Orakzai tribal region on Dec 21. Pakistani forces are engaged in operation against the militants in Orakzai agency, the only tribal region of Pakistan which does not have border with Afghanistan. Pakistani army says it has cleared most of the Orakzai agency from Taliban militants but they still have hideouts in the mountainous and remote areas. This is the second time that bullet-ridden bodies of kidnapped security men were found in the restive tribal areas of Pakistan. Last week Taliban killed 15 security men after they had been kidnapped last month following attack on a fort of security forces near the South Waziristan tribal region. The incidents have happened at a time when local media has reported that talks are underway between Taliban and the government. The army has denied any talks.
