Weekend tornadoes wreaked havoc across northwestern Poland, killing one person and injuring 10 others, officials said. The tornadoes hit the Kujawy-Pomerania and Wielkopolska provinces Saturday evening, the Warsaw Voice reported. A 60-year-old man from the village of Wycinki was crushed to death by his collapsing summer cottage. Ten other people were injured. The tornadoes, which meteorologists said had velocities of up to 125 mph, also destroyed more than 100 houses and nearly 1,000 acres of of woodlands in Bory Tucholskie forest. Power lines were down, and road and railway service were disrupted Saturday.
