Azhar condemns assassination of army officer in Arish

Egypt's Al Azhar has strongly condemned the assassination of Brigadier Hisham Mohamed Mahmoud outside his house in Arish on Friday.
Such crimes are malicious acts that violate the teachings of Islam, which prohibits unrighteous murder and bloodshed, Al Azhar said in a statement on Saturday.
It also voiced support for the Egyptian army in its war against terrorism.
