Agger insists Liverpool are not distracted by FA Cup

The Denmark international claims there is always motivation at Anfield despite losing five of their last six matches in his absence due to injury after their League Cup win.Liverpool’s Daniel Agger has insisted that the club has not been distracted by their upcoming FA Cup semi-final against Everton on Saturday.The Reds had lost five of their last six league matches in the Dane\'s absence and the club are now in eighth place, a distant 16 points behind fourth place and Champions League qualification.The Denmark international told The Daily Mail: \"I don\'t think next weekend\'s game is in our heads now.\"When you play for a club like this it doesn\'t matter if there is a trophy or not, there is always a lot to play for.\"We have to try to win every single game - especially at Anfield - but that has not happened the last few weeks and we have to turn it around. We play Blackburn on Tuesday and we have to do a bit better if we want a result there.\"It is a bit of everything; we are not playing well, we are not working the right way but we are trying everything we can and hopefully it will turn soon.\"The 27-year-old defender appeared as a substitute in Saturday’s 1-1 draw against Aston Villa at Anfield after being sidelined with a cracked rib incurred during February’s League Cup final victory.\"It is always nice to be out there. It doesn\'t matter what sort of run [the team is on], it is always difficult watching from the sidelines,\" he added as he described his relief.\"I should be used to it [injury problems] now but it is difficult when you cannot do anything. I\'ve only trained two times so it will be a week or two more before I\'m fully fit.\"Kenny Dalglish’s side required a late equaliser against Villa after missing a string of chances, and Agger went on to explain his frustration.\"We had a lot of good chances, especially at the end, and we didn\'t score - that is a fact we cannot do anything about now,\" he continued.\"We didn\'t score a winner and maybe that is maybe because we are not good enough or we didn\'t get the right chances.\"The fact is it was 1-1 and we have to give them credit for working hard, but with a bit more luck we could have scored one more,\" Agger concluded.
