Claudio Perez scored the only goal with a 72nd-minute penalty which moved Belgrano Cordoba up to third in the Argentinian table. Perez struck from the spot with 18 minutes remaining to move Belgrano up to third and above opponents Godoy Cruz, who dropped to fifth in the standings. Atletico Rafaela pulled away from the relegation zone with a 3-0 home win over Tigre which leaves their opponents close to the drop. Cesar Carignano opened the scoring after 14 minutes from the penalty spot but the home side had to wait until late in the second half to score again.
