Del Piero set for Sydney deal

Sydney FC this morning edged closer to signing former Italy international Alessandro Del Piero with club officials set to fly to Europe to conclude a deal for the 37-year-old. World Cup winner Del Piero has been a free agent since the end of last season after leaving Juventus, the only club he has ever played for having made over 500 appearances for the Bianconeri.
