Frankfurt - Arabstoday

Alexander Meier scored twice as Eintracht Frankfurt moved to the top of the Bundesliga after two games with a resounding 4-0 win at nine-man Hoffenheim. Meier gave Frankfurt the lead in the 39th minute and Pirmin Schwegler made it 2-0 for the hosts four minutes later. Hoffenheim\'s woes continued after 70 minutes when substitute Sejad Salihovic was shown a second yellow card and he was joined down the tunnel three minutes later when Stephan Schrock was dismissed. The nine men conceded via a Meier penalty after 83 minutes and Martin Laing completed a wonderful afternoon for Eintracht in the dying seconds. Two-time defending champions Borussia Dortmund had to settle for a point away to Nurnberg. Tomas Pekhart gave Nurnberg the lead after 31 minutes before Jakub Blaszczykowski equalised for Dortmund nine minutes later as both sides improved to four points in the Bundesliga having won their opening matches. Schalke picked up their first three-point haul of the season with a 3-1 victory over Augsburg at the Arena AufSchalke. Kyriakos Papadopoulos headed Die Königsblauen in front in the first half and Jermaine Jones gave them a flying start to the second when he made it 2-0. The USA international hit the woodwork before Klaas-Jan Huntelaar sealed the victory with Torsten Oehrl grabbing a consolation for Augsburg in the 79th minute. Bremen beat Hamburg Aaron Hunt scored one and set up another as Werder Bremen beat derby rivals Hamburg 2-0. Nine minutes after having a penalty saved, Hunt gave Bremen the lead from the spot in the 51st minute before setting up Nils Petersen to make it 2-0 after 67 minutes. Bayer Leverkusen picked up their first win of the season with a convincing display against Freiburg at the BayArena. Gonzalo Castro and Philipp Wollscheid scored the goals to give Sami Hyypia and Sascha Lewandowski their first win since becoming full-time coaches of Leverkusen over the summer. Promoted side Fortuna Dusseldorf earned an important point from a goalless draw against Borussia Monchengladbach in their first home Bundesliga match in 15 years. Dusseldorf were forced to play their game against local rivals Gladbach in front of just 20,000 fans - with 5,000 visiting supporters - due to fan behaviour in the relegation play-offs at the end of last season. Dusseldorf can be thrilled with having collected four points from their first two league games this season with Gladbach matching that tally. From fifa
