Turkey\'s former national coach Ersun Yanal was on Friday named as the new manager of Fenerbahce, who this week were kicked out of the Champions League for match-fixing. Yanal joins the club on a one year deal after a two year spell with Eskisehirspor. He succeeds Aykut Kocaman, who resigned at the end of last season after a second-place finish in the league behind their arch rivals Galatasaray. Fenerbahce and another Turkish club Besiktas were barred from European competition next season by UEFA for their involvement in a corruption scandal. Both clubs are appealing the verdict. Source: AFP
