War is 1 of biggest problems facing Sudan's development

Sudanese President Omar Al Bashir on Friday said that war against armed movements is one of the biggest problems facing the country and crippling economic, political and social development there.

During a meeting with political and popular forces in the White Nile state, Bashir added that the national dialogue, currently being held with participation of political parties, armed movements and national personalities, is capable to overcome issues that have been pending for more than sixty years.

"The national dialogue has realized some great benefits represented in the meeting of the political parties and armed movements together and exchange of views for interest of the country," SUNA quoted Bashir as saying.

"The dialogue is at threshold of its end and that its recommendations would lead to unity of people of Sudan and accord on constitutional document realizing stability in the country," the Sudanese president said.

Bashir indicated that the national dialogue has brought together the political forces with their different specters, and organizations of civil society so as to come out with a general reform program.
